Monthly Hot Meal and Clothing Ministry

On the third Saturday of every month, a homemade multi-course meal is prepared and served to people who are experiencing homelessness and to neighbors who are struggling financially. The hot meal is served to approximately 50 to 75 people at the Calvary United Methodist Church at 725 S. State Ave. In addition to the hot meal, CAC fulfills other needs through a shop-free store. Bibles, toiletries, blankets, clothes, underwear, socks, shoes, reading glasses and other necessities are displayed for clients to choose the items they need. Hygiene kits are also available to anyone who needs them. Pantry and fresh food items along with extras like games, household items, seasonal holiday gifts and treats are given to our guests at the hot meal free of charge. Every month, carloads of items are needed to restock in preparation for the next monthly event.
